The Early Childhood experience is rooted in ethics, kindness, and respect. Our goal is to instill a joy of learning and an appreciation for the ideas and feelings of others. In our classrooms, we provide a safe environment for children to build friendships and embrace new challenges.

The Early Childhood curriculum is intentionally designed to make the most of this formative time, when young students begin to apply foundational skills both individually and as part of the classroom community. Teachers approach instruction with a deep appreciation of each child’s learning style and strengths to ensure that everyone has the necessary resources and support to master the curriculum and grow into confident, life-long learners. Play is an important part of a child’s physical, emotional, and social development and is an integral component of each day.

An active partnership between the school and its families is essential to a child’s academic success as well as their emotional growth and sense of belonging. Though formal parent conferences are scheduled three times during the year, teachers are available to meet whenever there are questions or concerns. Written reports are sent home in January and June. We believe that a successful experience in school depends on open and frequent communication with our families.
