Welcome and thank you for your interest in Grace Church School!

Due to our present circumstances, the admissions process at Grace will be completely virtual, at least for the near future. We remain hopeful that we will be able to welcome our prospective families to campus early in 2021 and are here to help in a virtual manner before that time.

As we move through the admissions and enrollment processes, we will also offer twice monthly Admissions Chats and Live Tours with our office and Student Ambassadors for prospective families. Applicants and their families are invited to attend a Zoom meeting with our Head of School, George Davison, to learn more about our academic and extra-curricular program.

Most importantly, we realize that this year poses very specific challenges for our families and especially for our applicants. We hope that you will call upon us to assist you and your family in your child's application and enrollment process. Please email Admissions Associate Shahara Ahmed with admissions inquiries or please submit this form to add your name to our mailing list for our fall admissions events.

List of 6 frequently asked questions.

  • 1. Apply

You may submit an application via our online portal. After 48 hours your application will be processed and you will be able to access all supplementary forms required to complete the application.
    • The $100 application fee is waived for prospective students applying for financial aid.
    • Our office will contact you to schedule your family's interview and tour after the online application has been processed (limited after the December 1 deadline).
  • 2. Transcripts

Submit a transcript request to the applicant's current school. Forms are available on the online applicant portal
  • 3. Recommendations

Submit two ISAAGNY teacher recommendations from the applicant's current math and English teachers through your online application portal. Schools should not send recommendations until November, at the earliest, to give faculty time to know your child.
  • 4. Standardized Testing

Due to the pandemic, Grace is "test-optional" for the 2020-2021 admissions and enrollment cycle. We are happy to receive any student's testing report(s) and add them to the applicant's file. We will ask that in lieu or in addition to an ISEE or SSAT that all of our applicants sit for an online in-house assessment to be administered by our office in January. No test prep is required or encouraged.
  • 5. Submit Graded Essay

Applicants must send us a copy of a graded essay with the teacher's comments visible. The essay should not be a creative writing paper; it may be selected by the student from a current English or history class. This essay should be uploaded via the online application portal.
  • 6. Submit Original Essay

Applicants must submit a 500-750 word essay from a choice of prompts available on your online application portal. In an effort to streamline the high school application process for student applicants, Grace Church School participates in the ISAAGNY common essay.
