The JK Variety Show

The Junior Kindergartener took to the stage this spring for the annual JK Variety Show, dazzling their families with four acts of pure, joyful performance and led by Ms. Frandina, Ms. Walsh, Ms. Clark, and Ms. Pike.

The much-anticipated show opened with The JK Circus, a big-top extravaganza complete with gymnastics stunts, a dramatic “ring of fire,” and impressively strong JKers hoisting oversized weights. Act II brought a beloved story to life with The Hungry Caterpillar Play, followed by the graceful Ballet Wiggle Worms in Act III. Act IV brought the house down with JK Rockstars, a high-energy lip-sync performance featuring cardboard instruments the students made themselves.

The grand finale united both classes for a full-company singalong, belting out We Are the World and Moana’s You’re Welcome with the kind of enthusiasm only a room full of four-year-olds can deliver.

The students were glowing after their moment in the spotlight. “I loved learning how to do a ballet bow!” said Jack F. “I love dancing in the rock band!” added Sylvia L. Cat G. summed up the spirit of the evening perfectly: “I like when we watch each other dance and perform!”
