Every Child, Every Day

At Grace, support is embedded in we teach every student, every day. We are a general education school, and our commitment is to ensure that all of our students have full access to our program: not by lowering the bar, but by giving every student what they need to clear it.

Beyond the classroom, the Math & Science Center and the Writing Center are staffed by skilled subject specialists who work with students before school and during the day to extend and deepen their understanding. Two learning specialists are available throughout the school day for additional support.

Students with documented learning differences—including those with Section 504 plans, IEPs, or a history of standardized testing accommodations—are supported through the Office of High School Learning Supports, which works in close consultation with students, families, teachers, advisors, and deans to ensure that each student’s needs are understood and met with discretion and care. Documentation is handled with full confidentiality, shared only with the student’s immediate academic team.

Supporting Student Wellbeing

The high school years can be demanding, and Grace takes the emotional wellbeing of its students as seriously as their academic growth. Our approach to supporting students with anxiety is grounded in evidence: We believe that building confidence comes not from avoiding difficulty, but from navigating it successfully, with the right support in place. Our counselors and learning specialists work closely with students to develop emotional awareness, effective stress management strategies, and the flexible thinking skills that allow them to move through hard moments rather than around them. Two dedicated high school counselors are available to students throughout the school day, and we work in close partnership with families to ensure that the support students receive at school and at home is consistent and coordinated. We encourage families to reach out early and often; our experience is that the most effective support happens when school and home are working closely together.

We believe that building confidence comes not from avoiding difficulty, but from navigating it successfully, with the right support in place.
