ALUMNI WHO HAVE SUPPORTED GRACE FOR OVER 30 YEARS
The Grace Fund makes up part of Grace’s annual operating budget, directly funding day-to-day operations. Donors can make an unrestricted gift supporting areas of greatest need or designate their support to financial assistance or faculty development. While a family at Grace, we ask that you make The Grace Fund your highest priority. Participating in The Grace Fund demonstrates our shared commitment to Grace’s mission and values. The Grace Fund closes on June 30.
The Grace Fund provides support for day-to-day operations, closing the gap between tuition and the full cost of a Grace education. When making a gift, you can choose to give an unrestricted gift which will go towards areas of greatest need or designate your gift for financial assistance or faculty development. More details of each area of impact are below.
The Grace Fund – Unrestricted, for Greatest Need:
The Grace Fund supports every aspect of a Grace education. As the school’s unrestricted annual fund, it helps close the gap between tuition and the full cost of educating each student while giving the school the flexibility to respond to emerging needs and opportunities.
That flexibility is what allows Grace to live out its mission: the kindergartner who discovers the joy of reading; the fourth grader who discovers a gift for poetry; the middle school student who finds confidence on the volleyball court; and the shy high schooler who finds a voice on the debate team. Gifts to the Grace Fund sustain it all—academics, athletics, the arts, and the countless moments of discovery that shape a student’s life at Grace.
The Grace Fund – Designated for Financial Assistance:
A gift to the Grace Fund designated for Financial Assistance helps ensure that every student, regardless of financial circumstances, can participate fully in the life of the school. It supports not only tuition assistance but also the opportunities that make a Grace education complete.
Gifts help cover expenses such as books and course materials, school trips, athletics equipment and uniforms, and—when the time comes—college visits, ensuring that every student can take full advantage of all that Grace has to offer.
The Grace Fund – Designated for Faculty Development:
A gift to the Grace Fund designated for Faculty Development invests in the people who make a Grace education possible. It supports professional growth, enabling our teachers to refine their practice, learn from colleagues, and continue growing in their craft throughout their careers.
Whether through graduate study, conferences, instructional coaching, or collaborative work with colleagues, these opportunities strengthen teaching, enrich student learning, and ensure that Grace remains a place where great teachers never stop learning.
We ask the entire community—parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff, and friends of the school—to participate.
All contributions are tax deductible. Grace Church School is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization under the Federal IRS code.
We offer many ways to make your tax-deductible gift to Grace.

Yes, on our giving page, you will see an option to make a pledge.
You can also set up monthly giving (or other intervals). This is a great way to make your Grace Fund gift in installments, and allows you to “set it and forget it.” For assistance, please contact the Advancement Office at (212) 475-5609.
While many families choose to take advantage of a tax dedication and give before the end of the calendar year, you are welcome to make your gift at a time that works best for your family’s needs. If possible, please consider making your gift or pledge as early as possible. Because The Grace Fund is part of the school’s yearly operating budget, and donations are spent in the year that they are received, giving early enables Grace to take advantage of every opportunity throughout the school year. All gifts and pledge payments must be received by June 30.
We hope that every member of our community understands the importance of The Grace Fund and will participate as generously as possible. Gifts range in size from $5 to $100,000, and all are truly valued and appreciated. Each year we strive for 100% parent participation.
Absolutely! The Grace Fund has a twofold goal: financial and participation. Every gift demonstrates a commitment to each other and the mission and values of Grace. Additionally, high participation rates help Grace receive grants and send a powerful message to prospective members of the community.
Gifts to The Grace Fund do not affect financial aid packages. As a community effort, we ask every family to participate and welcome gifts of every and any size.
Many employers will match donations to Grace. Please click here to find out if your employer participates. Matching gifts effectively double the amount of a donation; Grace credits the donor for both their personal gift and the matching contribution.
