Grace is a member of the New York City Athletics League (NYCAL) and an associate member of the Athletic Conference of Independent School (ACIS). Skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork form the core of the athletic program, as coaches work to develop abilities in each student-athlete through skill-building, team practices, and interscholastic competition.
High school students come together every other week for Community Meeting, where, depending upon the week, they are treated to performances and presentations from fellow classmates about topics that are important to them.
The Digital Tools and Technology program provides students hands-on experience, at different levels, with software applications and computer technology that teaches them to organize, design, analyze, and use digital information, programs, and platforms. Courses include robotics, computer-aided design, and 3-D animation, among others.
Grace offers a robust performing arts program with opportunities for students to explore theater and dance as well as vocal and instrumental music. Students perform on campus and at select offsite locations, including the 14th Street Y, Joe's Pub, the Cutting Room, and Theater for the New City.
The Grace community is made up of families from many different faiths as well as those who do not observe a religion. Weekly chapels are a time when all students, regardless of belief system, explore universal values like kindness, respect, courage, and gratitude, in a welcoming, supportive, and joyful space.
