Campaigns
From time to time, after determining School priorities that cannot be met though the annual operating budget, Grace will launch a special capital campaign. These years-long initiatives raise substantial funds to finance major initiatives and endeavors, often involving major facilities improvements. Past campaigns have renovated sizable portions of our Grade School Campus at 86 Fourth Avenue, adding classrooms and a gymnasium; launched the High School Division at 46 Cooper Square; grown funds for student support; and built our endowment.
Endowed Funds
A gift to Grace’s endowment or one of Grace’s named funds is a gift in perpetuity and will be directed toward the donor’s designated purpose. Grace’s endowed funds currently support financial aid, faculty salaries and professional development, academic programs, community life, performing arts, and VIP Day for Grandparents and Special Friends. Income from our endowment is also used for program support. Some donors have designated their giving as unrestricted, providing income to be used for whatever purpose the School determines as most pressing.
Planned Giving
Those in the Grace community who choose to remember the school when making estate planning arrangements become members of the James Morris Helfenstein Society, named for Grace’s first Head of School. Including Grace in your estate planning helps ensure the school’s financial future.
