On January 17, the Grace community commemorated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a march to Union Square and the all-school Peace Chapel. This year's theme was self-reflection and introspection, and students, teachers and staff alike were encouraged to think about ways in which their own voices and everyday actions can combat oppression and nurture kindness. High School students curated a symposium of speakers and workshops designed to facilitate this discussion; Middle School students gathered to celebrate the work of justice advocates and share letters they have written to their political representatives.
