Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the Auction Benefit?

The Auction Benefit is a yearly event that raises money for financial aid. This is the school’s sole fundraising event and features a unique array of silent and live items donated by the Grace and local community. The Auction Benefit is a fun and festive evening for Grace’s adult community to come together.
  • How do I get involved?

We’d love to have you help and have roles for all skillsets, even if you only have an hour to spare! Please email Co-Chairs Amanda Torres and Eyal Dagan to learn more about volunteering and find a role that’s right for you.
  • Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

Advance ticket sales help us plan for the number of attendees and streamline the check-in process so you can start enjoying the party without waiting! Stay tuned for ticket information!
  • What is the difference between ticket levels?

All ticket holders receive the same experience regardless of ticket level. Because ticket sales help underwrite the cost of the event, we hope that you will be as generous as you can be, so that we can maximize the proceeds for financial aid. We offer a Community Ticket priced at $30 to make this event accessible to everyone in the community.
  • Who comes to the Auction Benefit?

The Auction Benefit is a community event for all adults at Grace. It is a chance to gather together while raising money for financial aid. We hope to see you there!
  • What should I wear?

Come however you like! Some guests choose to embrace the theme and come in costume, others dress up for the evening, while others come straight from work. If you choose to dress in costume, please be culturally sensitive. If you’d like a mantra to help guide you in choosing a costume, here is a good one: “Be culturally appropriate, don’t culturally appropriate.”
  • Is this a seated event?

The event takes place around the building at our 86 4th Avenue campus. You will be able to mix and mingle, view items available for bidding, and eat and drink throughout the spaces – and wait until you see them!
  • How does bidding work?

The online catalog will be available to view before the event; all ticket holders will be sent a link to access it. Silent Auction bidding begins in advance of the event and runs through the close of the Live Auction. The Live Auction will take place during the event.
  • What types of items will be available to bid on?

The catalog includes everything from one-of-a-kind experiences, art, travel, sports memorabilia and tickets, epicurean delights, entertainment packages, fashion, and more!
  • Can I bid on items even if I can’t attend the event?

Yes! All Silent Auction bidding takes place online and you can participate from anywhere. Please note that you must purchase a ticket to bid, regardless of whether you attend the event or not. Get your tickets early so that you are ready to go as soon as the bidding opens!

Absentee bidding at the Live Auction can be arranged through a proxy bidder. Contact Lele LeVay at llevay@gcschool.org for details.
