On Friday, May 23, the entire Grace Church School community celebrated the accomplishments, bright futures, and graduation of the Class of 2019. The commencement ceremony, held in the beautiful Grace Church, featured music, speeches from students, faculty and the Brooklyn Museum’s Shelby White and Leon Levy Director and Grace Alumni Parent, Anne Pasternak.

Ellen Jorgensen ‘19 was chosen by the faculty to receive the Class of 2016 medal for exemplifying “the spirit of excellence through innovation, creativity, and leadership in academics, arts, and/or athletics, along with the commensurate ethical and civic responsibility.” Jack Levey ‘19 received the Alumni Prize for embodying “the ethos of the school and dedication to the character and values of the GCS community, as an ethical person, a caring classmate, and an exemplary scholar.” given by Ted Chaloner ‘59.
