Grace Almost Finds the Equalizer
Grace started slowly on a beautiful day on Randall's Island versus Hunter. The Hunter wingers found space down the touchline in the first half and quickly went 1 goal up after a scramble in the box from a corner. Shortly after, a well taken header sent Hunter into the ascendancy.
After a stirring halftime talk from Coach Hope, the Gremlins emerged with new energy and drive in the second half. In the first minute a shot from Josh fizzed narrowly wide of the post with the goalkeeper stranded. The Grace players began to find their positioning in the midfield, and Nick drove a low shot into the bottom corner after a neat interchange with his teammates. 1-2.
Despite possessing the ball well and finding multiple opportunities on the counterattack, the Gremlins couldn't find the equalizer before the clock ran out. Kudos to great vision from the goalkeepers, Sam and Ben.
