Cheryl Kelly, EC Head, Announces Retirement

After 18 years at Grace Church School and 50 years as an educator, Cheryl Kelly has announced her retirement at the end of the 2020-21 school year. In an email to the community, Head of School George Davison said, “Cheryl has always embodied the love, joy and values of Grace. Mostly though it is the love part that has made her so invaluable to this school."
He continued, "She loves working with small children. She loves working with the dedicated teachers in her division. She loves meeting with the families. She loves to laugh. She loves this school and community, and she has been lovely to work with and learn from. She will be missed, but all she has done for this school will remain part of us all."

Cheryl will retire after a distinguished career serving students and families in independent schools. In the letter announcing her retirement, Cheryl said, “Since this is my 50th year of teaching, it seems like the perfect time to plan ahead for some new experiences. I have enjoyed every moment of my time in Early Childhood, and I have done my very best to embody the love, joy and values of Grace."

The entire Grace community celebrates Cheryl and thanks her for all of the ways she made our school a warmer, kinder, and more caring place.
