Students Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Students and teachers in the middle and high school are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Members of our Latinx Affinity Group ¡HOLA!, have various events planned this month including an empanada sale to benefit a charity for Latin American refugees and two movie screenings. On Friday, October 5th, Coco will be the feature film and Friday, October 12th, students can view Selena in the High School Auditorium. Student work is on display in the South Hall at 86 and in the second floor hallway at the high school. Along with their work, there is a quiz to check your Latinx history knowledge. Students are creating more posters about Latinx influencers and cultural heroes. Thanks to Ms. Cruz, Ms. Cortes, Mr. Weinsier, Ms. Pena,  Ms. Felix-Grace, and Ms. Romney-Rosa for leading our students!
