The
Library features a book collection of over 14,000 volumes, a periodical
collection, an automated circulation and cataloging system using
Winnebago Spectrum CircCat software for Macintosh, a Resource
Room, full-text periodical indexes, full Internet access and
encyclopedias online. Stokes Library is a member of the New York
City School Library
System and participates in interlibrary loan.
Borrowing
privileges
•
JK and K students may borrow one book every week. The book
remains in the classroom.
• First Grade students may borrow one book to take home for
one week. They must return that book before borrowing another one.
• Books circulate for two weeks for all other grades. Books
may be renewed if brought into the library for renewal.
• Fines are not charged. Students are expected to be responsible
users of the library and return books on time.
• Borrowing privileges may be suspended for students with
overdue library books.
• Replacement costs will be charged for lost or damaged books.
• Current magazines do not circulate. Back issues do.
