A.473. The flowers are blooming in my garden. Half of the flowers are snow flowers, a third of the rest of them are violets, and I have 20 tulips, also. How many flowers do I have in my garden?

 

A.474. The sheppard asked his son to check on his sheep and count them. The sheppard boy always liked to challenge is father with math problems so he told his father that he counted a total of 315 legs and heads. How many sheep does the father have?

 

A.475. Three trees have a total of 48 birds sitting on them. After 8 birds flew over from the first tree to the second tree, and 6 birds flew over from the second to the third tree, every tree had the same number of birds sitting on it. How many birds were sitting on each tree originally?

 

A.476. The florist is selling spring flowers. One bouquet, which contains 1 hyacinth, 1 tulip and 2 irises, costs $3.50. Another bouquet,which contains 3 irises and 1 hyacinth, costs $3.60. A bouquet of 5 tulips costs $3.50. How much does a bouquet with 2 hyacinths, 1 tulip and 2 irises cost?

 

A.477. One side of a rectangular shaped flower bed is 2 meters longer than the other. There is a 0.5 meter wide sidewalk all around it, which was made by 196 square shaped, 5 dm by 5 dm concrete blocks. How many square meter is the area of the flower bed?

 

A.478. There are 32 students and 2 teachers on an overnight school trip. Each room in the hotel has 4 beds. Students of the same gender my sleep in the same room. Students and teachers will have to be in different rooms. At least how many rooms does the hotel have to reserve for this group if the school forgot to send the list of the names to the hotel?

 

A.479. If it is 9 am now, what time will it be 2005 hours from now?

 

A.480. A baby bird from the day of her birth till the day she starts flying receives as many worms every day from her mommy as many days old she is that day. How many days old was the bird, which ate 210 worms till she started flying?
