Alumni/ae
are the living history of the school and offer valuable perspectives
on the school's past and its future. Here are some of the ways to
get involved:
Class
Agents
Class
agents are the main source of contact between the school and alums.
Agents are called upon to gather news from their class for the Alumni/ae
news section of GCSNews and keep their classmates informed
about upcoming events. When you register for the Alumni/ae Directory
online, look to see if your class has a class agent. If not, ask
for more information about becoming a class agent.
Alumni/ae
Executive Committee
Meeting
four times a year, this committee steers the course of the Alumni/ae
Association--planning reunions, organizing alumni/ae speakers for
assemblies, meeting with the school Head and assisting with the Alumni/ae
Annual Fund through signing letters and making calls. Members range
from classes in the 50s to the 90s and all are welcome. Sign
up.
Alumni/ae
Speaker Series
Come
talk to Upper Schoolers (Grades Five-Eight) about your job, a recent
trip or an interesting project you're working on--you can even perform
for them. It's a great way to keep the living school connected to
its history, and the students are always interested in the presentations
as well as in your time at GCS. Find
out how to schedule an assembly. Interested in being Chair of
the Speaker Series? Ask for
more information.
