Peace March 2017

Students, faculty, staff and parents celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with the Annual Peace March from Grace Church School to Union Square on Wedensday. In Union Square students gathered and sang "We Shall Overcome" before attending the Peace Chapel. The new puppet this year honored Harriet Tubman for her role as a trailblazer.

Throughout the day, students engaged in conversation and activity centered around diversity and this year's theme, Women Trailblazers. At the high school, students designed and led workshops for the 2nd Annual Diversity Symposium. The subject matter was chosen by the students covering a variety of topics on diversity in which they are passionate about. The Middle School Assembly featured readings about women trailblazers, original poetry and a performance by the Middle School Dance Ensemble.
