Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace March

On Wednesday, Grace Church School held the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace March to Union Square. This year, we honored Dolores Huerta with a puppet made by fourth graders.
She and Cesar Chavez founded the National Farm Workers Association to improve wages and working conditions. Dolores Huerta is a hero who continues to advocate for workers' rights. The puppet of Dolores Huerta holds a tool of peace - the megaphone that she used for organizing peaceful protests. Dolores joins a cast of past year's heroes, including Malala, Martin Luther King Jr., and more.
