Diahann Billings-Burford, featured in the alumni display case 2014 fall exhibit of trailblazers, made a personal appearance at GCS to speak to 11th graders embarking on their two-year-long service learning class.
Students in Grades 7, 8 & 9 took off for Tokyo this summer. They attended classes at Miyako High School, toured historical sites and immersed themselves in the Japanese culture. And lucky for us, they documented it all! Read more and see the photos here.
Last spring, a ribbon cutting heralded the opening of the third floor at Cooper Square to boisterous cheers from students. Trustee Sara Queen, responsible for bringing the project in on budget and ahead of schedule, did the honors.
The Middle School will kick of the school year with a new schedule, inspired by the successful model implemented in the High School Division. The new schedule allows for an augmented Performing Arts program for grades five through eight, including options such as band, strings, vocal and dance.
